Allt Beithe Youth Hostel, Glen Affric, by Cannich. SELF CATERING ONLY

Friday 20th August

 

Depart Stirling railway station at 13:00 hrs and drive to Cannich for a meal before the Munro group are dropped at the head of Glen Affric for the 3 hour walk into Allt Beithe. This hostel has adequate cooking facilities but no microwave or fridge. You must carry all your non-burnable rubbish back out! Sleeping bags required.

The Graham 'strollers' will be based at Drumnadrochit.

Saturday 21th August

 

Munros: An Socach (920m, (the snout) - Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan (1151m, the peak of the quarters<) - Carn na Con Dhu - Mullach na Dheiragain (982m, the redder round hill)
A huge unforgettable day with amazing views!

Grahams: Meall a'Chrathaich (679m, shaking hill) - Carn Mhic an Toisich (678m, Macintosh's hill).
Described as challenging and rewarding. Mmmmmm!

Sunday 22th August

 

Munro group: A leisurely walk back out of Glen Affric then, after a foot dip in the river, a drive to Drumnadrochit and let your feet recover.

Graham: Carn Gorm (677m, blue hill)
A wee short day so as we can pick up the exhausted Munro group and maybe have a wee stroll round Loch Affric.

Monday 23th August

 

Munros: Mam Sodhail (1181m, the round hill of the barns) - Beinn Fhionnlaidh (1005m, Finlay's mountain) - Stob Coire Lochan - Carn Eighe (1183m, cairn of the notch or file)

Grahams: Meall Fuar-mhonaidh (699m hill of the cold slopes) - Glas Bheinn Mhor (651m, big green hill)
Absolutely stunning views from these 'wee Grahams'!

After today's 'epic' we will return to Stirling via Inverness for a quick bite.

Total Cost of £170 - SC Accommodation/guide. Please note if you wish to car share this cost will be additional.

It would be appreciated if you could let Janis Whyte know as early as possible if you are definitely interested in joining this trip.

A non-returnable deposit of £40 is required to confirm booking.
The balance of £130 to be paid by 7th August.
Please make all cheques payable to Janet Whyte and enclose a s.a.e. if a receipt is required.

This deposit is lodged in a Clients Deposit Account with the Bank of Scotland in Callander.
In the event of this trip being cancelled by Glen and Mountain Guides the deposit will be automatically refunded.
