Keswick Youth Hostel, Keswick, Cumbria (Tel:0845 3719746)
All bed linen supplied. No membership required. This facility is self catering although excellent meals are available on request at extra charge. This hostel was chosen as the outdoor capital of Britain has to be Keswick.

Friday 26th February

We will depart from Stirling railway station at 16.00 hrs and drive to Keswick. This will take approximately 3½ hours. Enough time to get supper en-route and have a settle in chat. The following programme should prove challenging and exciting.

Saturday 27th February

Coledale Round: A mainly high level ridge walk starting from Braithewaite village.
Barrow (455m) - Outerside (568m) - [Scar Crags (672m) and Causey Pike (637m) optional, not in the 'normal' round] - Sail (773m) - Crag Hill (Eel Crag) (839m) - Hopegill Head (770m) - Grisedale Pike (791m)

6, 7 or 8 Wainwrights in 11 miles! A wonderful, long, day and I'm looking forward to that Cumberland sausage already.

Sunday 28th February

Great Gable and Neighbours: One of the best hills in the area climbed via Moses' Trod Path and Beck Head.
From Honister Hause via Moses' Trod Path to Great Gable (899m) - Green Gable (801m) - [optional detour to Base Brown (646m), again not in 'normal' round] - Brandreth (715m) - Grey Knotts (697m) and back to Honister Hause.

4 or 5 Wainwrights in 7 miles including superb views of Scafell Pike.

We will then make the return journey to Stirling stopping at Abington for coffee.
